Celebrating MUSC's Bicentennial

This year we celebrate the Bicentennial of the Medical University of South Carolina.

For nearly two centuries, MUSC has been a driving force in advancing health care and medical research. Established in 1824 as the Medical College of South Carolina, it has continually evolved. Today, it stands as a leader in health care, education and research, with a significant impact on public health.

Our Bicentennial theme of “Then. Now. Next.” encourages us to reflect on the past to provide context for the present and plan for our future.

“Then” represents those who came before us and built MUSC’s foundation through their philanthropic support.

“Now” is the impact they created that is still at work today.

Visionaries like you help us plan for what’s “next.” Your commitment to MUSC’s future through charitable estate giving makes it possible for us to boldly explore the tomorrow we know is possible through innovation, impact and influence.

In this newsletter, we are pleased to highlight Legacy Society donors Tina and Ricky Doscher, who have thoughtfully planned for both MUSC’s present and future through their estate.

We are honored to bring you their story and hope you enjoy it!

Warm regards,
